Future Direction

A more concerted effort is therefore required to position Malta in appropriate niche markets. In the short run, we have to consolidate and take care of our existing businesses, whether locally or foreign owned. In the medium to long term, we need to embark on a predetermined and well calculated plan that seeks to build on our strengths, thus helping to brand Malta as a country suitable for inward investment and tourism. We must also ensure that we have the right attitude and resources to cater for our target audience by reducing bureaucracy and by providing skilled people.
